Two years ago, we started DAKILA over bottles of beer and bowls of tokwa't baboy at Tree Haws Matalino. We launched with a freak show of sorts with like minded kapanalig at Conspiracy. After a bloodletting, two ambitious yet successful literal and symbolical cleaning of the Philippines [relief map at luneta], two benefit art exhibits, two Rock the Riles at Cubao, three well-attended general assemblies, a get-together, an earth day festival in Subic, two anniversaries, a music and learning session on pinoy rock, two discourses on controversial issues such as the e-vat and the state of emergency, a six month hiatus, three peacetahan events, a junk art demo, a concert, a beach trip, lots of core group afternoon talks over the usual bottles of beer, bowls of our favorite tokwa't baboy with shots of tequila this time, we are still here.
